Compliance with product safety testing standards is now mandatory in the United States, Europe, and other countries worldwide. Standards vary from country to country, and are specific to the age grading of the product. In other words, a product that is designed and intended for use by children age 3 and under will fall under different testing standards than a product that is designed for and used by children over the age of 13.

Safety standards need to be taken into consideration during the product design stage. Also, the markets where the product will be sold will impact which safety standards the product should be tested to.

GPI is very involved in safety testing- we participate in the product development process with a focus on proper material selection and product design, keep up to date on the latest testing standards, work closely with several third party testing labs to conduct testing, and manage the logistics of the testing documentation.
